To celebrate the 50th anniversary of this major event in contemporary art Quadratura and GV Art present a new performance utilising the latest technology. On this occasion a single musician using a laptop computer played a new interpretation of the Monotone Symphony and by using light, rather than paint, Quadratura re-created The Anthropometries of the Blue Period images. With the use of their state of art projector and technology systems, the recreation not only paid homage to Yves Klein but also attempted a new exciting interpretation of Klein?s work. "Falling Light Thousands of points of light fall from the ceiling to the floor, twisting and turning as they go. However, there is much delight to be had when you discover that you can catch them in your hand where they will form multi-coloured piles, or watch them roll down your arms, or pour down over your head." - Quadratura Marja Koponen is dancing.

"The Mesh This piece originally started out as insects flying around that would end up landing on you if you stood still long enough, but that ended up being a little macabre so instead we generated an ever moving mesh of triangles, somewhat visually inspired by the movie Tron, which also resonates with the fact that you?re interacting with a computer construct. The points of the mesh (a gold star if you recognised it as a Delaunay triangulation!) will move away from you, and your presence will break the beams between them. While this may seem an initially negative response, they?re goal in life is to keep the integrity of the mesh as intact as possible, slowly moving around you to re-establish the links between them." - Quadratura Marja Koponen is dancing.

"Marja Koponen from Kiihko Dance gave an improvised performance at The Drawing Room in London, reacting to the music and the way the projections reacted to her movements. Shadows Of Light One of our recurring interests is interactive work that doesn?t react immediately to a participant?s presence. Its operation is simple: when standing still in front of the installations, your silhouette is slowly filled in with colour, merging with the silhouettes of the others who have stood there before you." - Quadratura
